Amazon, Atos, Curve and VISA in Payments
- Amazon is to open its first checkout-free grocery store to the public this week. Amazon Go, in Seattle, has been tested by staff for the past year.
- Atos has announced three new initiatives to strengthen its global FinTech Partner Program – FinLab, a cloud-based platform to facilitate the creation of new joint services, FinHub, an on-boarding programme, and FinNet, an insights and knowledge portal
- Curve has launched its new app, which connects all of a customer’s debit and credit cards to one Curve Mastercard and aims to simplify money management
- Visa CEO, Alfred Kelly, has said the payment company will not process Bitcoin transactions as he sees it more as a commodity than a payment systems player
