Paypal, Amazon, Adyen and Worldpay in cards this week
- PayPal has disclosed that the personal information of around 1.6m users may have been compromised at its TIO Networks unit, a company it acquired in July 2017. Data that may have been impacted includes names, addresses, bank account details, Social Security numbers and log-in information
- Amazon has announced plans to allow users to make purchases with Amazon Pay directly within voice apps from the Alexa Skills Store. Initial skills categories to accept Amazon Pay include donations, restaurants and event ticketing
- Amazon has launched a new set of features for Amazon Business, including Pay by invoice, Business Invoice and Catalog Curation
- Adyen has announced that its merchants can now accept WeChat Pay on their point-of-sale terminals worldwide
- Worldpay has announced a partnership with Klarna enabling customers trading in Austria, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK to accept payments using Klarna’s invoice service or credit-based payments from Worldpay
