Mobile PACS Use FIDO Authentication

What you need to know: Gallagher introduced its Mobile Connect Product that can secure credentials on smartphones. The product uses Bluetooth capability and FIDO authentication standard to facilitate biometric multi-factor security. Enterprise customers made Gallagher take cybersecurity seriously. According to Gallagher, they chose FIDO authenticators because of the various features, including cryptographic strength.

Why it is important: Gallagher used FIDO when it was in its early adopter phase so it was a risk for the company , as the standard might not be widely accepted. Yet, governments are now opting for FIDO. As such, Gallagher is on a good position now to take market share
