Barclays, Moneybox and Swanest in Investment this week

  • Barclays is to upgrade its trading platform for all financial products traded on exchanges on 3 January 2018. It is the latest bank to opt in to ‘Systematic Internaliser’ status under MiFID II, which aims to push more trading onto regulated public exchanges
  • Moneybox has launched a Lifetime ISA, making it the fifth company to offer a Lisa since the product’s launch in April 2017
  • Swanest, a robo-adviser, has partnered with MediaFin to provide an online investment tool based on algorithms tracking the business stories read by consumers. The tool, which is currently being developed, allows individuals to build a portfolio investing in companies they have read articles about by linking through to the robo-adviser in the news pieces
