Atom Bank, Aire, Housesimple and Ratesetter on lending this week

Atom Bank has launched a five-year fixed-rate for remortgagers at 1.59% (60% LTV, £900 fee). The deal comes with a free valuation and free legal work. The bank is also offering a two-year remortgage deal at 1.09% (60% LTV, £900 fee).

Aire, an AI-based credit scoring start-up, has raised £5m in a Series A funding round and won deals to work with Zopa and the UK arm of Toyota Financial Services. Sunstone Capital led the financing round, and was joined by previous investor White Star Capital

HouseSimple research, based on Zoopla data, has found that 35% of homes for sale in London have had their prices reduced in July 2017, up from 29.7% in February

Ratesetter has said that it will use its own funds to offset the impact of £80m of struggling loans to prevent losses being taken by its 50,000 users.
