McKinsey on Big Data Report Reloaded
What you need to know: The McKinsey Global Institute released a big data report in 2011 that captured the attention of senior managers. In December 2016, it revisited the report and found out that digitally native firms are leading because of data and analytics. Yet, many of these companies are not tapping on their potentials because of sub-optimal organizational design.
Why it is important: To succeed, companies must exert a lot of effort. They must capture the possible value of data and analytics. Advances in machine learning can solve different problem while deep learning can push the boundaries even further.
